As an early learning academy, we strive to provide outstanding quality care for each child from the beginning to the end of each day. Every opportunity is made so that students can realize their unique talents and succeed. International Preparatory Academy emphasizes a strong and diverse arts education for students from three years through 13 years of age weekly as a part of our curriculum, which is included in the weekly tuition cost. We are confident in the interest our families will have in the quality and diversity of our program as well as the care and individualized attention your child receives daily.
Arts Program
As a part of the daily curriculum, we offer 5 art-based weekly classes: music, dance, karate, art and foreign language at no additional cost. Our youngest students enjoy our arts program as well as opportunities to gain experience performing before an audience. All our students learn from teachers who are accomplished artists and musicians, and they gain an appreciation and understanding for culture and the history of art.
Academic Program & Curriculum
Our Academic Program is structured through the Abeka Educational Program and the High Scope Curriculum two successful age-appropriate preschool programs implemented by certified early childhood professionals.
The High Scope approach is built on the principles of active learning and children’s initiative. Children are guided to explore, interact, and exercise their creative imagination through purposeful play. Well-prepared teachers support and extend each child’s learning based on their developmental levels, so children enter school ready and eager to learn.
The Abeka Book curriculum helps students from a practical and traditional method. It is a comprehensive, biblically-based curriculum that supports students intellectually, morally, and spiritually. students’ growing mastery of subject matter is strengthened because of the comprehensive design of the curriculum. Material taught in one subject is reinforced in other subjects. At every step of the way, students learn, apply, and master new concepts and skills. Abeka students have been able to demonstrate appropriate grade-level knowledge and exceed grade-level scores on nationally normed standardized testing.
